Conversation Cookies

Last year for Valentine's day I tried to recreate these ADORABLE conversation heart cookies, unfortunately that venture was unsuccessful. This year I bought myself the Message-in-a-Cookie kit from Williams-Sonoma. After my runny food-color failure a year ago, I'm a bit of a skeptic. It seems unlikely that the message bakes into the cookie so well.


Anyone know anything about these? Have any tips?
